Bintix turns discarded household packaging into real consumption analytics for FMCG brands. Dry recyclable waste is collected from urban India-A homes, then digitised through barcode scanning and AI imaging to produce brand-level and SKU-level consumption data. The home page covers the Collect, Digitize, Analyze and Recycle process, India-wide coverage, the product suite (Bintelligence, Binsights, Binflow and the Bintix Home App), brand partners including Colgate, L’Oréal, Tata and Diageo, third-party audits, and the household privacy FAQ.
The hero rotates through these findings, one per video:
Bintix has mapped 4.6 Million unique SKUs, 49,722 brands, 695+ categories to date (as of 2026-09-09).
Bintix is a WasteTech Insights company. It is pioneering the use of technology in waste management, to combine recycling with research. Bintix harnesses data from waste, to remove waste from the planet. We collect waste from 40000+ homes in India across 6 metros, and are winners of the Government of India’s Swachata Challenge Award.
Bintix wants to ensure that no waste goes wasted. Today half of all plastic waste created in homes ends up in oceans and dump yards, and it stays there for hundreds of years, destroying land and marine life. This happens, because bad plastic waste (i.e. rubbish wrappers and bottles of everything from noodles to teas to atta to face cream to shampoos etc.) is too expensive to recycle or reuse. It has no value for anyone in the system and so no one acts on it.
Bintix is acting on this problem to solve it. Bintix increases the value of this waste by extracting valuable data from it. This allows it to pay for 100% of waste to be removed, recycled or repurposed. All waste collected from your home by us, is therefore taken out of the planet.
Your waste is collected either weekly, or once in 2 weeks. Yes, you are paid per kg of waste. Bintix believes that for waste to be eliminated, it has to be valuable for everyone in the system, including you, who is taking the effort to discard it properly.
Yes Bintix collects data from waste of homes.
No, Bintix does not collect any personal information of yours. Even your address and mobile number - that you have shared voluntarily - is only used for waste collection service from your home.
Bintix collects aggregated data about what products are being consumed and discarded by the society. Aggregated data means that house level data is added up to a city or an area level, to study patterns of consumption and waste.
No. We only know what is being consumed in homes but we do not know who is consuming it. This is because, firstly, we do not collect your personal data. Secondly, your contact data is kept separately in a secure database and is not accessible to anyone in the company except the person planning the waste pick-ups. So, even though each house’s waste and consumption data is studied, it is not known whose waste it is or who are the people in that house.
This data is used by different people and organisations, for different purposes.
- Waste companies and recyclers use the data to find better ways to collect, manage and recycle waste. They also study types of waste in the society - plastic, glass, metal, cardboard, paper, Styrofoam etc. - Product companies use the data to create better products and services. They also study how their products are being consumed versus other products in the market. - Government / Public bodies use the data to study how different areas are discarding waste.
For example, Bintix collects data on all kinds of products in the bin - wrapper, bottle, box and paper etc. - to analyse what is the weight of waste being generated, which type of plastic, metal, paper or glass, how it changes by geography, how frequently it is being discarded, when does it's volume go up or down and so on. This data is then used by a waste expert company or a recycler to improve ways of collecting and recycling waste.
Or for example, Bintix collects data on the kind of product or brand or product size being consumed in a geography, overtime. This long term data is then used by product companies to learn how various sections of society are consuming different types of products for snacking or for drinking etc. and this helps them to innovate better to improve their products.
The waste is collected from homes using unique QR coded bags. The QR code is unique to an address and to a location in the city. That is the only info we need to analyse waste. We do not need and we do not collect your name or personal info.
No. The data you see on your app is calculated by measuring the weight of your total waste in the QR coded blue bag every week. It shows you your personal positive impact on the planet (trees saved, plastic saved, CO2 averted etc.). This is a world’s first such service. It is a personalised dashboard, without being personal. It gives the power in your hand to track your impact on the planet.
No it is not. We don't even know which person's waste it is, so we certainly wouldn't know the health information of the person. We do however, study what is happening to trends in consumption of sugar, oil or similar health concerns, and this allows us to analyse the health trends in the society.
At Bintix data privacy is core to business operations. It is a red line that no one can cross. We not only follow all the latest Data Privacy laws of the nation for collection and storage of data, but also do not process or sell any personal information.
Yes. You can give your waste to any company or to a municipality.
Only Bintix ensures that 100% of your waste (especially bad plastic waste) is properly removed from the planet. Only Bintix rewards you for it in the form of a small payment. And only Bintix provides you world's first personalised waste dashboards of your impact on planet.
Bintix increases the value of waste by harnessing valuable data from it. This provides funds for three things: paying you weekly for your effort, paying for responsible collection of waste and paying for guaranteed recycling of waste.
Yes please do refer Bintix to your friend and their friends! Soon, you will be able to do so via our app itself. We already have three times the number of current homes requesting us to collect their waste. Sadly we are going slow due to the significant extra cost of adding new homes. Many people like you care about the planet and their role in preserving it, so we believe that is the biggest incentive for them to use Bintix service. That and the small reward every week!
Bintix — The only panel to AI-map 4M SKUs weekly from India-A homes. Real insights, from real packs consumed, that are recycled.
